Canal & River Trust navigable waterways

Vision: The economic and social value of these canals will be enhanced whilst protecting their rural aspect.'

Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Staffordshire County Council and other local partners as appropriate will support and collaborate with the Canal and River Trust to manage and enhance these canals, recognising the benefits that these bring to the County.

The rural aspect of canals will be protected whilst encouraging leisure use.
